Christmas greetings to all the PHS Class of '69. Here's a popular seasonal tune from just after our graduation:

A while back, Jill King asked me if I knew what had become of Aswin Knight.  I hadn't but thought since he had been an AFS exchange student and my wife and I were AFS volunteers and host parents, AFS might be able to tell me where he was.  Thai students usually come with abbreviated names or nicknames and AFS could not locate him with the name we had.  I asked Jill if she had any other information I could use.  She was able to find the name of the family he had stayed with.  Armed with that, I went back to AFS and they not only found him but told me he was also on Facebook.  I sent a FB message but never heard back.  Well, last night, I had a brain storm.  We are currently hosting a Thai AFS student that seems to be plugged into every Thai social network.  I had her write a message and believe this or not, within an hour, we both had friend requests.  It turns out that he lives in the town where our student's mother was born.  She still has distant relatives living there.  The next hour was spent sending messages back and forth.  He even sent scans of our yearbook with the notations that we had written in it.  I have given him the address of this website and offered help to set up his account.  For those that wish to contact him through FB, he is listed as: Aswin Prayoonwech.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  Best Regards, Carl

Carl, this is very special.  He seemed to enjoy his year with us, and now you and Jill (with some help from FB and AFS) have given it back to him 45 years later!  Great effort!  Thank you.

Thanks so much for your hard work in locating Aswin.  I got in touch with him last night on FB and it was such a pleasure seeing his face again.  I would have recognized him anywhere.  He is such a sweet person!  Thanks again Carl!

Nice work Carl.  I lived in Thailand for 6 years but never thought to look him up!  Oh well, hopefully we'll see him at the next reunion.  Ken

Just want to thank all the reunion organizers, photo takers (Tony & Nina in particular), classmates who make the effort to track other classmates down (Carl, a wonderful example of this dedication) and basically to everyone who takes the time to attend a reunion.  Thanks for keeping the connections alive and well after all these years. Attending our high school reunion is more like attending a very large family gathering!

Back at everyone. I feel so lucky to have grown up with you all. I still like the idea of a travel reunion.

Yes, I agree too! I have not missed one of our reunions yet! Still would like it to be somewhere besides the Mf. Kisco Inn?! Any ideas?

Agreed what everyone has said.  And, us local guys would like to see how and where the rest of you live.  You already know P'ville and what is here.  A travel reunion does have a neat tone to it.  Any takers???
