This reunion weekend was the best, except it went by to quickly - well planned with the nice touches. Thank-you Bill,Jill,Don,and Tony as well as others; The class of 1969 is a unique class, an interesting blend of people - lets not wait until the 50th- thinking about being 68ish is scary. Bo

Great job by the fab four and all who attended. What fun. I agree with Bo that 68ish is scary. By then, Mac will be the proud parent of 3/4 of the Yankee infield, Dan will be getting ready for a high school graduation and I will still be chasing Alan for that prestigious "Most Grandchildren" trophy. Sorry I missed the Sunday breakfast but my car was having transmission trouble on the way to the diner and I thought it best to head right to the airport. Long story short, the transmission died at the Whitestone Bridge toll plaza. I was quickly reacquainted to various New York hand signals of displeasure by other drivers and learned some new ones as well. It took almost four hours to get everything sorted out and get to the airport. I don't want Ken to think that his steller directions had anything to do with my absence. Look forward to seeing all the pictures and to our next get together.

Jerry, I need those new hand signals! I still haven't got up the nerve to carry a gun in my car...

The 40th Reunion was a special moment in our history. We are truly an incredible group of interesting individuals. Years didn't diminish the bonds of friendship created in a unique town like Pleasantville. We are truly fortunate to have met, to have shared such wonderful memories and to have created our 40th Class Reunion. It was bittersweet in a way, because at our reunion, I got to know some individuals that I didn't really know in high school. And I walked away thinking, how could I have missed knowing that person. Anyway, I am looking forward to our next. Thank you all for making this so special, especially Bill, Jill, Don, and Tony!!!

The Best To You All,
Elaine

I think Elaine is right on the money. Too bad we didn't have more time to spend with each other. Too many people and never enough time.

Hi Everyone,
Had a great time, was good to see you all, but I was wondering if anyone found a Toyota car key Saturday night in Mike Gallo's and my room at the little get together.
If so please contact me at bowser5912@aol.com or 719 224 5121.

Thanks
Bob

To the Gang of Four,

Great DVD!! The pictures, video and music brought back the weekend memories and left a smile on my face. I'll enjoy viewing it over the next few years until the 45th reunion.

Thanks so much for the great reunion video. What a wonderful memory. I enjoyed the reunion and the days prior, it was so nice meeting up with old friends and classmates after so many years. Hopefully another one will be in the works soon....time flies by TOO quickly lately! Keep up the good work with the site and thanks again.

Wow, The DVD was almost as good as the weekend itself! I didn't see any credits; those involved deserve to be recognized.

I did notice, however, that someone had drawn a moustache on all my pictures. I suspect WHG, he/she was quite the artiste.

Ten years seems like too long to wait, but I'm not sure I will have recuperated within five years. Once again, let me say what a pleasure it was to see all you wonderful people (and Tony.)

The DVD really captured the essence of our 40th Class Reunion. The music was perfectly placed. It is such a very special keepsake! Thanks so much to all of you who made this treasure possible!!!

On a sad note, Mark Pearson, class of 1970, passed on January 5, 2010. He was a Special Ed teacher in San Francisco. A memorial service was held at Emanuel Lutheran Church last Saturday - a service which was quite a service, almost 3 hours long and filled with music, laughter and tears; I have never been to one like it. Hi everyone. Just wanted to make sure you were all reading the message forum! Actually I wanted to tell you that last night Sandy Yahner and her husband Jim, Peter Penniman and his wife Sue, Andy Foster and his wife Eileen, and Larry and I all had dinner together in Ithaca. We had a fun time getting together, especially since our weather up here in Upstate NY has been full of snow, ice and cold. The chance to enjoy time together was a welcome change for us. I hope you are also getting together with one another during this long winter and if you are, please share the information! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera or I would have posted a photo --- maybe next time. Stay well and warm!

The Fourth National Walk for Epilepsy was a great success. We had between 32-35 people on the National Mall in DC among the kiteflyers and cherry blossoms. There were several other "Virtual" walkers and bikeriders across the country who couldn't make it to DC - places from Brookfield to Staatsburg to Oakland and a number of locations in between. A special thanks to all PHS69 classmates that contributed to my cause (a couple are thinking of joining us next year). Pictures to be uploaded soon.

Hi All,

Just a note to let you know that Meg and John McP will be in Cincinnati staying at my house on September 10th.  Meg's daughter has a soccer game at the University of Cincinnati that night and john is driving up from Louisville (about 2 hours south).  If you are in the nieghborhood, pls. let me know and drop by and we'll make room!  It reminds me of some of those nights when we used my house on Great Oak Lane as a base of operations for clandestine capers.....

Yesterday Joann & I went to Keven Zraly's 50 year acheivememnt award after-extravaganza and we saw P'ville buddies - Tony, Roseann, Debbie, Bob (Bowser).  Good music, dancing, at the Marriot Marquis (ooooo) in Times Square.

A good time was had by all.

Kevin's celebration for the Lifetime Achievement James Beard Award was just fantastic and we should all watch his video he posted---it is just amazing!

It was special to see some of my good friends from P'ville and I know that it meant so much to Kevin for those of us who could join him in his once in a lifetime achievement in NYC!  Best of all we have all remained connected as great friends for over 40 yrs!

Cheers to Kevin and to our Class of 69!

I hope everyone keeps posting news and stories, here on the Pacific shores it is nice to keep a mental image of Pleasantville and friends fresh.  I find my self Pleasantville-bound on Easter Sunday (2012).  I will be in town for almost a week, with free time M-F 9-5.  Anybody up for some softball?  Other ideas?
